The GeoURL project is building a database of websites and their geographical coordinates. There is an interactive map and a "neighbors" feature that will show you web sites close (physically) to you.
GeoURL is a location-to-URL reverse directory. This will allow you to find URLs by their proximity to a given location. Find your neighbor's blog, perhaps, or the web page of the restaurants near you.
What the heck, it's worth experimenting with. I looked up my latitude and longitude and added the appropriate tags to my primary web page. Now I'm in the database: Cantoni.org on GeoURL. To add your site to the directory, start here: http://geourl.org/add.html
